Mini Tornado

April 23rd, 2009 · 2 Comments

Yesterday was like any.  It was very hot like always and last night was no different.  But for a brief moment the winds suddenly went from still to crazy.  I was surfing on my laptop, when suddenly I heard what seemed to me like trucks outside our bedroom window passing by and for a moment I dismissed it as that but then I realized how could I be hearing trucks when our unit is on the 14th floor!   Then I thought, it’s probably hubby watching YouTube on the other room with the volume on way high.

But then I heard hubby calling me with a little panic in his voice.  So when I went to check it out, he asked me to look out our window.  The wind was crazy!!!  It kinda felt like those scenes on an apocalypse movie right before the big end-all is revealed.  It got me to change into decent clothes just in case we had to evacuate anytime and had me calling my friends up if they were experiencing the same thing at their place.

Good thing sometime after, the rain came and the wind calmed a bit.  My theory is, the area was too hot and with the cold temperature from the rain coming, it kind of formed a little tornado.  Whew, for a minute there all those action stunts on end-of-the-world movies were flashing through my mind and I was thinking how the hell am I going to do all that while I’m pregnant!

But all’s well that end’s well.  The weather is back to searing hot and sunny.
