OTO eTap

February 9th, 2009 · 2 Comments

Yesterday, while strolling through Suntec City, we chanced upon a sale of different items at the lobby in front of Carrefour.  Among other things, we saw a Cornell Microwave oven selling for S$80 which still doesn’t beat the price of the (Bluesky) microwave oven we bought at Carrefour for just S$50 (with 5% rebate if you use your POSB credit card).   There were massagers from OTO on display which hubby tried out.  If we had money to throw away we’d definitely want to buy a massage chair.  But we don’t so we settled for the OTO eTap portable massager instead which was going for S$48 from a regular price of S$80.

It’s funny how these sales trick you or me and hubby for that matter.  I definitely wouldn’t buy the massager for S$80 but at S$48, we bought two!  One for us and one for hubby’s dad.

Hubby was excited to get back home so he can try out his new massager.  It surprisingly turns out to be a good buy for S$48.  (Ask me again in a month.  It might still be the novelty talking.)   I’ve tried (bought) a lot of massagers before and the problem always is you still have to make an effort to press the massager onto your body or another person’s body which defeats the purpose of buying the massager in the first place because you still have to make an effort.  The nice thing with the OTO eTap is that it’s heavy enough that you don’t need to exert much effort.  Its own weight is enough to press itself on the body.  And the massage pressure is adjustable.  The only downside I can see for now is that it’s not wireless but battery operated massagers, from my experience, usually are no good.  One can easily use the OTO eTap to massage yourself or another person.

That same day we also bought a Tefal oven in Carrefour going for S$199 from a usual retail price of $299.  It’s selling for the same price at Harvey Norman at their ongoing “too-good-to-advertise” sale.  But it still turns out cheaper at Carrefour because you still get 5% cash rebate with your POSB credit card and even free delivery!

How can i donate to help Japan?
I am just so unhappy by what took place in Japan with the earthquake plus tsunami and I actually want to help all of them by simply donation.

Does any individual know an internet site or anything which you could donate to assist Japan?
