Mr. Tsiken and I love sashimi so we are always on the lookout for good Japanese buffets. A few weeks back we tried out Kuishin Bo Restaurant at 3 Temasek Blvd, Suntec City Tower 1, #03-002. It’s beside the Turkish Cuisine Restaurant (which is also good) on the floor above Harry’s bookstore.
We wanted to try it earlier last month but there was a looong queue getting in and surprisingly (not so surprisingly once I realized why), when we went there to try there was no queue at all. Turns out they have discounted rates during certain hours of the day. Unfortunately when we went there to try, it was during prime hours and there was no discount. It was about $40.00 (S$39.90++) per head.
Yet we still think the $40 per head we paid for the buffet was well worth it. It seems the highlight of the buffet is their Alaskan crabs. We tried a few but crabs are messy to eat and requires a lot of EQ. We want instant gratification so we had all the sashimi we could eat and a lot of Wagyu beef. They have a variety of different dishes like tempura, soups, makis, etc. The buffet also includes hot tea, soft drinks, and dessert.
I would definitely go back though probably during off peak hours and try more dishes.
Here are the rates based on their card:
Lunch
Mon-Fri Adult S$26.90++
Sat, Sun, PH Adult S$28.90++
Dinner
Mon-Thur Adult S$35.90++
Fri-Sun, PH Adult S$39.90++
++10% Service charge and GST applies
They also have promo rates like 60 min lunch for S$20.90 on weekdays and a ladies night on Wednesdays.
