Pacquiao did not disappoint

Woot! Woot! Manny Pacquiao, our “Pambansang Kamao”  surely delivered and made us Pinoys very proud yet again when he won his bout against David Diaz in the ninth round to become the World Boxing Council lightweight champ.  Manny Pacquiao is the first Asian to hold four world titles in four weight classes as well as the first Filipino to rule the 135-pound division.

What’s even more cool is that he has the Boston Celtics to cheer for him.

David Diaz was quoted saying it was Manny’s speed that did it for him.  When the fight was declared over, Diaz’ bloodied face was a contrast to Manny’s who was barely scathed.

But despite losing to Manny Pacquiao, David Diaz showed what a great boxer he is by being a sport and accepting his defeat with grace.

Manny clearly validates why we support Nike. Nike should pour some more endorsement $$$ on Manny.  Though the big recognizable Ricoa on Manny’s butt is cute too.  :)
