Environmental problems are plaguing our planet. I’m sure you’ve noticed how these days it’s hard not to live without air conditioning when in fact when we were still kids, (at least during my generation) air conditioning was considered a luxury. Each summer is hotter than the last one. Another thing that’s obvious is how the weather always seem to be confused like when seasons don’t arrive when they’re supposed to.
These problems are real and they are urgent. Everyone needs to do their part because environmental issues affect each and everyone on the planet. It will even affect those who are not even born yet like our children and our grandchildren.
I believe the first step in addressing these problems is to keep ourselves informed of what’s going on and how we can help and also make others aware. A lot of people probably acknowledge that there is a problem but probably only few really realize the urgency.
On Earth Day, April 22 2008, you can start making yourself aware by watching National Geographic’s exclusive programming for the environment. So that you won’t forget, you can send yourself an email alert by clicking here. Watch it with your family. It’d be a good family quality time. I also recommend watching Al Gore’s An Inconvenient Truth.
