Inspect your bills, they might be of no value

Markonbills

Markings like the one shown in the picture are common when you got your bills from a money changer. I see it in most of the US dollars in the Philippines and they don’t seem to be a problem. But according to the Money Authority of Singapore (MAS), markings on money bills are considered a deliberate mutilation and command no value. So next time you accept Singapore money, it’s best that you make sure that your bills are free of such marks. If you do get marked bills, request whomever you got the bills from to change it.

I can only imagine how MAS would react if they see sunglasses drawn on Singapore money much like Randy Santiago shades on Emilio Aguinaldo in the five peso bill. Only in the Philippines!
