The Paris home of Manila born fashion and interior designer Rose Anne de Pampelonne is on the cover of the April 2008 issue of Elle Decor.

Who is she, you might ask? Honestly, I don’t know either. :P (But I’m sure she’s probably famous within the social elite for Elle Decor to put her home on their cover.) But her house is beautiful and I like that she incorporated a bit of the Philippines in her very Parisian home.

Our altar table in Manila is similar to this one except that it has only 2 drawers. My mom got it from an Antique Furniture dealer in Swapmeet along Kamuning Road.

We also have the exact same chair at home. We got it from a furniture exhibit at the Gateway Mall in Cubao. The furniture dealers were from Cabagan, Isabela (where Mr. Tsiken is from coincidentally). There are a lot of antique and furniture shops in Greenhills too so you can probably find one like this there.

The article though didn’t mention if the fishing baskets and the Kamagong bench are also from the Philippines.

Did you also notice that in the Dining Room with the Kamagong Bench and the fishing traps, the two “black painted” side cabinets are fashioned after Philippine “Paminggalans”?
