Jemaah Islamiyah (JI) detainee Mas Selamat bin Kastari escaped from the Whitley Road Detention Centre at 4:05 pm on 27 Feb 2008. Within days, police has a full campaign in place. Most, if not all, buses have his picture posted on the exits which I think is very effective because most commuters stand in front of the exit for a while before they can get off the bus. The police even sent out MMS to mobile phones.
