Finance Minister unveils 20% tax rebate

I’m amazed at how Singapore can get a budget surplus of a whopping S$6.45 Billion (not million, Billlion).

I love the Philippines, and unlike many Pinoys who never want to come back, I still plan to go back, settle and retire there.  And the very littlest thing a Pinoy can contribute to his country is to not speak ill of our country specially in front of foreigners but a budget surplus of S$6.45 billion is kinda surreal for me as a Pinoy.  I can only wish for the day our government would have that much surplus and not be siphoned off into some corrupt official’s deep pockets.  A day when our governemnt can set up a good project (in essence) like the National Broadband Network project without having to pay off somebody for P200 million.
