Calls to the Philippines from Singapore now cost just about the same as if you were calling from the Philippines with your cellphone.Â
Starhub Maxonline and Digital Cable subscribers can enjoy cheaper calls to the Philippines with Starhub.Â
The regular rate of S$0.35/min (about P10.50/min) is reduced to S$0.29/min (about P8.7/min) when you use the 018 prefix to call. (i.e. 0186391********). Â
Though a friend told me that it’s cheaper to call home with Singtel. It’s only S$0.22/min (about P6.6/min) using the 019 prefix.  But it seems this only works when you’re calling a landline number.Â
