More on becoming a Singapore Permanent Resident

While doing my own research on the pros and cons of applying for PR status, I came across this flyer from KPMG.  I think a lot of Pinoys who, like us, are considering whether to apply for PR or not will find this informative.

One of the important things to consider but is probably not given much thought when applying for PR status is the Human Organ Transplant Act (HOTA) which allows hospitals to harvest the organs of PR’s and citizens (except Muslims) in the event of death unless you submit a form and opt out.   What concerns some people is that doctors might diagnose brain death prematurely so they can harvest the organs.  (I remember watching an episode in Grey’s Anatomy touching on this issue…kinda)
