August 9 is Singapore’s 42nd Birthday. The National Day Parade on Marina Bay at 5:30-8:00 PM would be worth checking out. But for those who don’t feel like going out then don’t forget to watch Discovery Channel’s feature on Singapore’s history on August 9, 2-6 PM . How they went from third world to first world in a span of 42 years. That’s actually less than a lifetime!
 Maybe we could learn few from them that we can apply in the Philippines. 42 years could still be in my lifetime. There’s a chance that the Philippines would be a first world before I die. That’d would be a pretty thought.
