The multiracial culture of Singapore is very much reflected in its food. You’ll find a Hawker centre in almost every corner.  Â
Probably the most popular dish in Singapore is the Hainanese Chicken Rice. It’s one of my personal favorites (hence the name Ms. Tsiken). There’s a lot of Chinese food here and I don’t know any Pinoy who does not love Chinese food.  You’ll also find a lot of other Asian foods like Indian, Malaysian, Thai, you name it! But for the safe-eaters, there’s always the fast food chains like Mc Donalds and Burger King. Alas, there is no Jollibee in Singapore. I kinda expected there would at least be one in Lucky Plaza. A note of caution though, most of the local food is spicy HOT! So go easy on the chilis first until you’ve you know your tolerance. I, personally loove spicy food but I’ve found myself quite a number of times crying and sniffing while eating because the food is just too HOT.
If you find yourself craving for some Filipino food, then you’ll definitely find it in Lucky Plaza along Orchard Road (almost infront of the Orchard MRT station). There are also a lot of stores there selling Philippine products so you’ll always have something to ease the homesickness.Â
